Congratulations Liene & Roberts!
Liene and Roberts were married Saturday May 16, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church in Three Rivers Michigan. By the time the wedding started the weather had cleared up and it turned out to be a beautiful day. This was the first Latvian wedding I have photographed. It was a great experience to learn the traditions of another culture. The day consisted of American, as well as Latvian wedding traditions.

One of my favorite Latvian traditions was that Liene and Roberts walked down the aisle together, while also seeing each other for the first time.

The reception was held at the Latvian Center in Three Rivers. After dinner were a series of toasts to the newlyweds, each followed by a Latvian song.

Liene and Roberts, it was a joy to be apart of your day. :)
I loved the poem that Liene and Roberts chose for the church program:
Life has taught us that love
does not consist in gazing at each other,
but in looking together outward in the same direction.
For true love is inexhaustible;
the more you give, the more you have.

Thank you, Kendra, for your careful, unobtrusive, and (from what I've seen so far) beautiful documentation of Liene's and Roberts' wedding day!!!! It truly was a wonderful day...

The picture of him dipping her is off-the-charts great. It should be in a magazine. Very cool, Kendra.
